There is a charge to be answered! UNDP SECU announces determination of the eligibility of our complaint against the UNDP MoU with Musina-Makhado SEZ.

The Social and Environmental Compliance Unit (SECU), the internal investigative unit of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), has announced the findings of its preliminary investigation into the complaint made by EarthLife Africa and Living Limpopo against the UNDP’s announced support for the Musina-Makhado SEZ: There is a case to be answered. Living Limpopo and its co-complainant, EarthLife Africa, together with the cohort of civil society organisations and academics who signed the 4 July open letter to the UNDP objecting to the MoU between the UNDP and MMSEZ SOC, welcome the findings and look forward to the outcome of the investigation that will now proceed.
